Miss Suomi 2022 Petra Hämäläinen has been designated as Miss International Finland 2023 as she has become the official representative of Finland at Miss International 2023. The announcement was revealed by Finland's national director Sunneva Sjögrén during Miss International 2022 Jasmin Selberg’s official visit at the Choicely App main headquarter in Helsinki.

Petra Hämäläinen was crowned Miss Suomi 2022 at the finale held on AlfaTV on Saturday, 17th September 2023 at Valkoinen Sali in Helsinki. Petra is a model from Savonlinna and a student at the University of Eastern Finland pursuing a degree in education.

Not new to the pageantry, Petra Hämäläinen represented her country at Miss Universe 2022 but unfortunately failed to place in the Top 16. Petra not just has the experience in international pageantry but is also a very talented cello player and a ballet dancer.

Miss International organization announced the official news as they wrote, “Reigning Miss Suomi 2022, Petra Hämäläinen, is the new Miss International Finland. Petra will crown her successor on September 9th, and will be formally designated the prestigious title of Miss International Finland during the coronation gala.”

Miss International 2023, the 61st Miss International, will be held at the Yoyogi Gymnasium No. 2 in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan on 26th October 2023 where Miss International 2022 Jasmin Selberg of Germany will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
