Miss Supranational 2023, the 14th edition of the Miss Supranational, will be held on 14th July 2023 at Strzelecki Park Amphitheater, Nowy Sacz, Malopolska, Poland. Miss Supranational 2022 Lalela Mswane of South Africa will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
The contestants have arrived in Poland and are currently facing the pre-pageant challenges to put their best foot forward in the competition. Although, all contestants look strong contenders, here are our post-arrival favourites for Miss Supranational 2023 –
Andrea Aguilera representing Ecuador
Aguilera was born in Ventanas, Ecuador. She was studying medicine at the University of Guayaquil, in 2021 before she had to pause her studies to compete in pageantry. Not new to the pageantry, Andrea was crowned Miss Grand Ecuador 2021 after which she won the chance to represent Ecuador at Miss Grand International 2021 held in Bangkok, Thailand on 4th December 2021 where she was crowned as the 1st Runner-Up.
In 2022, Andrea entered the six season of Soy el Mejor 2022, where she left the reality after two presentations, because three judges made derogatory comments about her participation in Miss Grand International. In 2022, She began studying bachelor's degree International Business in the UEES. She is an extremely strong contender for the crown.
Emma Rose Collingridge representing United Kingdom
Emma Rose Collingridge, who rose to fame with her stellar performance at Miss Universe 2021, has made her way to Miss Supranational 2023. Emma is 24 years of age and a model, presenter, content creator and writer. The stunning beauty graduated from Loughborough University with a BA(Hons) English degree. Following on from her dissertation, which peaked her interest in the Greek myth of Medusa, Emma utilized the platform to champion female causes, including the prevention of violence against women.
Not new to pageantry, Emma was Miss Teen Great Britain 2015. She was also crowned Miss Galaxy UK 2019 and represented the UK at Miss Galaxy 2019 where she was placed as the second runner-up. Emma was crowned Miss Universe Great Britain 2021 at the coronation ceremony for the 2021 edition held on 16th October 2021 at the Riverfront Arts Centre in Newport. She competed at Miss Universe 2021 where she placed in the Top 16.
Pauline C. Amelinckx representing Philippines
Pauline is a Belgian-Filipino host, model and beauty queen from Barangay Tubigon, Bohol, Philippines. In 2017, she graduated from Cebu Doctors’ University in Mandaue City with a degree in international studies. She majored in European studies. With her vast pageant experience (she participated in Miss Universe Philippines in 2020 and 2022), her strong personality, and amazing features, Pauline will surely be a strong contender at Miss Supranational 2023.
Selene Delgado representing Venezuela
Selena Delgado was a part of Miss Venezuela 2021 where she represented the state of Miranda and finished as the fourth runner-up. She has sone charitable activities for cancer patients (Domingo Luciani Hospital). Selena likes to talk about female empowerment because growing up in a society where, despite the advances, there are still so many limitations for women, and knowing different realities regarding this issue in new frontiers. She has a strong voice which she can use to create impact at the competition.
Ayanda Thabethe representing South Africa
Ayanda Thabethe is 23 years of age. She is an entrepreneur and a model who hails from Pietermaritzburg. The stunning beauty is pursuing a degree in dietetics and human nutrition from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Ayanda’s advocacy, ‘Project Khulisa’, aims to improve the future of all South Africans through nutritional intervention and innovation by mobilizing food solutions through initiatives such as community vegetable gardens, food parcels, and education about diet. If she wins, she creates a back to back win for her country!
Pragnya Ayyagari representing India
Pragnya is 20 years of age and a fashion design student. A trained Bharatanatyam dancer, Pragnya loves to practice her dance and enjoys spending time in the nature in her free time. She wishes to start a sustainable fashion brand as she feels for the cause and wants to create awareness for conserving the environment.
Pragnya completed her education at St. Andrews School in Bowenpally, Hyderabad, and then enrolled for a fashion design course at INIFD in Himayatnagar. While she was still at college, she started modelling and entering pageantry. She ended up winning the Miss India Telangana title in 2022. Her goal is to launch a sustainable fashion line that will influence people to live more sustainably to protect the environment. The beauty calls herself a dreamer and an optimist, who never gives up on hope and feels true confidence comes when you're true to yourself. India definitely comes strong this year under her delegation!
First Wang representing Thailand
Firstwang Patraporn Wang is 28 years of age and a model by profession. Previously, First Wang competed in Miss Universe Thailand 2019, where she placed in the top 5, and she has also won the title of Miss Intercontinental 2014. The Thai beauty has shown tremendous potential to win the crown with her strong and amicable personality, her stunning beauty and strong communication skills.
Alexa Marie Grant representing Canada
Alexa Grant, of Filipino-Canadian heritage has already established herself in the Philippines’ pageantry and will now try to win an international crown for her Canada. Alexa Grant is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in international business and is working towards obtaining a certificate in International Management. Alexan also got the opportunity of being part of an exchange program in Lyon, France, where she is currently living.
Alexa is very proud of her multi-cultural background; her father is Scottish and her mother is a Filipina. Alexa’s #fromthegroundupcsi project is called ‘Beyond our Now’ which focuses on youth empowerment through community involvement. It includes visiting homeless shelters, preparing food, doing garbage clean ups. She also created a group fundraising for ANCOP, Answering the Cry of the Poor, where they support humanitarian relief worldwide, inspired by her Filipino heritage but with a global reach.
Dabilo Debbie Moses representing Botswana
Dabilo Debbie Moses is the first ever Miss Supranational Botswana winner. Dabilo is a model and debater. Not new to the pageantry, Dabilo was also one of the finalists at Miss Botswana 2021. Dabilo Debbie Moses could very well be the first debut winner at Miss Supranational 2023 if she peaks at the pre-pageant activities and impresses the judges and the audience.
Valeria Flórez representing Peru
Valeria Flórez is the host of 'A day at the Mall' who is a communicator by profession, an actress and a television host. Valeria is a fluent speaker of Spanish and English as well which makes her a strong contender for the crown. Valeria has a strong stage presence and dominates the cameras very well. Being a committed and disciplined person, she succeeds in everything she undertakes. She competed at Miss Peru 2022 where she finished as 2nd runner up. Another strong contender for sure!
