Miss Universe Iceland 2019 held its grand coronation night on 31st August 2019 where twenty two ladies vied for the national crown and at the end of the coronation night Hugrún Egilsdóttir was crowned Miss Supranational Iceland 2019.
Hugrún Egilsdóttir represented Gardabaer at the national contest. The gorgeous beauty is 23 years of age and was born and raised in Reykjavík. She is a student planning to graduate with a Degree in Marketing and also works as a cosmetic brand manager. She will definitely be a strong competition for the other ladies at the international level.
Along with her, at the finale, Birta Abiba Þórhallsdóttir was crowned Miss Universe Iceland 2019 as she Beauty Iceland 2020. Hulda Vigdísardóttirc made it to our Top favourites as well.
Karín Mist Kjerúlf Miss Eastern Iceland 2019 won the coveted People’s Choice Award at the finale. She was definitely a crowd’s favourite as she won the Top votes in the competition.
Last time Iceland participated in Miss Supranational was in 2015 when Tanja Yr represented her country in Miss Supranational 2015. She was adjudged as the third runner-up at the end of the event finale.
