Shailey Micallef was crowned as Miss Supranational Malta 2021 during the coronation ceremony of the 5th edition hosted by the Vogue Model Management on 17th July 2021. She competed against 25 stunning divas to win the crown and an opportunity to represent Malta at Miss Supranational 2021, succeeding Miss Supranational Malta 2019 Rebecca Pace for the title.

Miss Supranational Malta 2021 Shailey Micallef’s court includes –

First runner-up – Hayley Ghiller

Second runner-up – Shania Degiorgio

Apart from the Top 3 positions, Hailey Ghiller won the Best in Swimsuit award, whereas Shania Degiorgio and Nicole Cunningham won the Miss Personality and Miss Photogenic awards respectively.

Hailing from Florina, Shailey is 19 years old and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Accounting from the University of Malta, Msida. She has been modelling since the tender age of three and aspires to reach higher in the industry. Throughout the years, modelling helped her to build confidence as she leant to love herself the way she is. For her, this confidence and learning was not only useful in her career but also came handy in being a teenager in today’s society.

Shailey aspires to become an accountant and pursue her modelling career and is highly inspired by her parents as she says, “My parents, both inspire me to succeed! They always taught me the value of family, to work hard, to appreciate what I have to study hard and be independent. They are always there to support me in every step of the way. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.”

Shailey Micallef will now be representing Malta at the 12th edition of Miss Supranational, i.e., Miss Supranational 2021, scheduled to take place in Nowy Sacz, Poland on 21st August 2021. If Shailey wins, she will be the first Maltese beauty to bring home the crown of Miss Supranational.
