The Miss Universe Philippines organization has begun its search for the next phenomenal queen as the schedule of activities and events was announced this week. This year’s edition will see aspiring divas from all over the country who will be then shortlisted to Top 100 candidates via the virtual interview round.
Among many names surfacing as applicants, Kristen Danielle Tan Delavin’s name has come up as rumours about her joining the national pageant have been circling around. Kristen also popularly known as Kisses Delavin cleared the air as she confirmed that she will join the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 pageant, during a Zoom interview with Gerry Diaz.
Kisses is a 22 year old Filipina-Chinese movie and TV personality, recording artist, and brand endorser. She first gained fame in 2016 as a contestant in the reality television series, Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7, where she placed second. Fans and pageant followers are thrilled as Kisses is trending on social media following reports that she is set to head to Miss Universe.
She has a huge following and support from Pinoy fans. In October 2017, Delavin signed a contract under Star Music. She was the first official artist under the music sub-label, Star Pop. Tickets to her self-titled grand album launch in November 2017 sold out within 30 minutes. More than 15,000 units of her album were sold the day prior to its launch.
Kisses is definitely not new to pageantry as she has previously won pageants like Miss Teen Masbate, Miss Masbate Province, Miss Kaogma and runner-up to the titles including Miss Teen Earth Philippines. In November 2019, Kisses left Star Magic and signed with APT Entertainment and Triple A Management, the same team that manages Kapuso stars Maine Mendoza and Marian Rivera. Recently, Kisses started appearing on GMA programs.
Delavin is an award-winning, talented and experienced star, who can definitely prove to be a great contender for the opportunity to represent Philippines at Miss Universe 2021, one of the biggest beauty pageants in the world.
In a few hours, the Miss Universe Philippines organization will reveal the Top 100 delegates out of the hundreds of applicants, who will become official Miss Universe Philippines 2021 delegates and will undergo a series of virtual challenges in the following weeks.
