Janick Maceta Del Castillo crowned Miss Supranational Peru 2019

Miss Peru 2019 held its special edition’s coronation night on 20th October 2019 where former beauty queens from all over the country competed for the national crown and at the end of the event finale, Janick Maceta Del Castillo was crowned Miss Supranational Peru 2019 as she became the official representative of Peru in Miss Supranational 2019.

Janick represented Peru formerly in Miss Tourism World 2018 which was held in Malaysia. Currently based in New York, Janick was extremely excited to come back to her home country to participate in the special edition and with her spectacular performance, she proved why she is the ideal choice to represent Peru at an international stage.

At the coronation night, Kelin Rivera Kroll was also crowned Miss Universe Peru 2019 as she will now represent Peru in Miss Universe 2019. Her court boasted of 1st runner-up – Lesly Reyna (Region Lima) and 2nd runner-up – Diana Rengifo (Ucayali). Along with her, Samantha Batallanos was crowned Miss Grand Peru 2020 and will represent Peru at Miss Grand International 2020.

Two special awards were also presented at the coronation night where Jessamin Chaparro won the Miss Empowerment title while Lesly Reyna won the Miss Teoma award.

Under the theme of ‘Reinas de Reinas’, ten former beauty queens whom represented Peru in different international pageants before, competed again for that national crown. This move came after Anyella Grados and Tiffany Yoko Chong were dethroned and stripped off their titles.

The ten former beauty queens who competed in this special edition were Pamela Sanchez (Amazonas), Kelin Rivera Kroll (Arequipa), Samantha Batallanos (Distrito Capital), Melody Calderon (La Libertad), Jessamin Chaparro (Pasco), Lesly Reyna (Region Lima), Pilar Orue (San Juan de Miraflores), Pierina Melendez (Tumbes), Diana Rengifo (Ucayali) and Janick Maceta (USA Peru).
