Miss Supranational South Africa 2019 is on the way to its finale, which is scheduled to be held on 27th July 2019. Fourteen contestants have been shortlisted who will compete to succeed and be crowned by the reigning queen and Miss Supranational South Africa 2018 Belinde Schreuder.
Belinde competed in Miss Supranational 2018 though remained unplaced at the finale of the event where Valeria Vazquez of Puerto Rico was crowned the winner. Prior to that, Belinda also competed in Miss United Continents 2018, where she finished as the fourth runner-up at the finale. Prior to Belinde, South Africa was represented by Bianca Olivier in Miss Supranational 2017 and Talitha Bothma in Miss Supranational 2016, after having not competed in Miss Supranational 2014 and 2015.
The fourteen contestants, who are all geared up to compete at the finale of Miss Supranational 2019, are Anrónet Ann Roelofsz, Evené Locke, Izelle van Vuuren, Leyla van Greuning, Misha Christie, Ntombifuthy Mabena, Peggy Chauke, Petra Human, Precious Mndalama, Reinette Potgieter, Roxanne Hendricks, Sarah Wainer, Sipho Mandlana and Zoné Oberholzer.
Some of the candidates have already represented South Africa earlier in other international beauty pageant, and are returning this year to have a shot at the title of Miss Supranational 2019. Misha Christie was crowned Miss Grand South Africa 2018 and represented South Africa in Miss Grand International 2018, Anrónet Ann Roelofsz has earlier represented South Africa in Miss Intercontinental 2016 and Izelle van Vuuren was South African representative in Miss Eco International 2018.
