Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen has been officially appointed Miss Supranational Vietnam 2022 and is all set to represent her country at the upcoming edition of Miss Supranational. The same was confirmed by the beauty queen herself through her social media today.
Vietnam is all set to compete at Miss Supranational after an absence of two years. It is also the first time that a Vietnamese beauty who represented her country at Miss Universe is now going to compete at another international pageant. Kim took to her official social media, for the announcement, as she stated, “I’m so proud to wear Miss Supranational Vietnam 2022 sash on my shoulder.Thank you for all your love and support.”
Kim Duyen was born and raised in Can Tho in a purely agricultural family. After dropping out of the Southern Can Tho University in 2016, she graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Stamford Raffles University in 2019 from Singapore.
Not new to the pageantry, Kim’s first beauty pageant was Miss Aodai Vietnam 2014 where she placed in Top 12. Two years later, she won the crown of Miss Elegance Student at Southern Can Tho University in 2016 while placing in Top 30 contestants competed in coronation night of Miss Vietnam 2016.
She returned to the pageantry stage when she won 1st runner-up at Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 at the Crown Convention Center in Nha Trang, Vietnam. By placing in Top 2 with Nguyen Tran Khánh Vân, who represented Vietnam at Miss Universe 2020, Kim Duyên became Miss Universe Vietnam 2021. She went on to represent Vietnam at Miss Universe 2021 in Eilat, Israel where she placed in the Top 16 with her excellent performance.
Kim Duyên will compete at Miss Supranational 2022 where Chanique Rabe of Namibia will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. Congratulations to the newly appointed queen.
