After the successful coronation of Mexico’s Andrea Meza as Miss Universe 2020 last night, it seems every country will soon elect its representatives for the 70th edition i.e. Miss Universe 2021 which is said to be held later this year or early 2022 in Costa Rica.
Vietnam has come forward to become the first country in Southeast Asia to announce the very first contestant for Miss Universe 2021. Miss Universe Vietnam organization has appointed Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen to represent Vietnam at the 70th edition of the pageant as they took to their social media to announce, “Let's all follow and love runner-up Kim Duyen on the Miss Universe 2021 journey that takes place at the end of this year!”
Duyen feels happy to receive a lot of love, attention and expectations from everyone, so she understands that she has really started to enter the fiercest ‘war’ that will take place at the end of this year. She also promises to try 1000% and with all national pride to fight to maintain the series of achievements that Vietnam has achieved at Miss Universe over the years! Duyen also took to her socials to share the news as she wrote, “A new journey - a new mission.”
After the representative of Miss Universe Vietnam 2020, Nguyen Tran Khánh Vân, only reached till the Top 21 in Florida, USA, it seems that the Vietnamese will not be in sorrow for too long. Less than 24 hours after the Miss Universe 2020 contest was completed, Vietnam immediately revealed the face of Miss Universe Vietnam 2021. Whether the work can be good or bad, it's time to move on hurry to develop the potential of a new beautiful woman, so the goal is to get the crown in the next edition.
Kim is 25-years-old and stands 173 cm tall and graduated in Business Administration from Stamford Raffles University, Singapore. The diva worked hard and aspired to be a beauty queen and participated at Miss Vietnam 2016 where she was placed at top 30 and then she participated at Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 where she was adjudged as the first runner-up at the end of the event finale. She was highly appreciated for her performance at the competition but she couldn’t win the title.
She is also the co-founder of the ‘Spread of Love’ fund and accompanying the implementation of the project ‘With Me to School’, that is responsible for giving backpacks, books, and small fruits to add love to the children before entering the new school year.
Kim is known for her confident carriage, seductive charisma and has the advantage of speaking fluent English. She has also mentioned that her participation at Miss Vietnam 2016 and Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 has helped her to meet some of the best delegates who had helped her to stay confident and strong throughout. Kim seems like a fierce candidate who can represent Vietnam at Miss Universe stage with utmost potential.
