The girl from Odisha, India, Swapna Priyadarshini recently took part in Miss Tourism & Culture Universe 2018 in February held at Yangon in Myanmar and was declared 3rd runner-up and Miss Photogenic at the end of the competition making her country swell with pride.
Not wasting any time, Swapna has declared that she is all hearts to win her title, the prestigious Miss Universe. Calling Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen her all time idol, she loves her simplicity and looks. Sushmita Sen is the first ever beauty from India who clinched the international title and Swapna dreams to walk on her footsteps.
Swapna has never received any formal training and grooming lessons but took the help of online videos to make herself acquainted with the pageantry manners and etiquettes. From her childhood she was attracted to the fashion industry and has won many awards and accolades. She had earlier won Miss Chattishgarh, Miss Teen India, KIIT Nanhipari titles.

Now beating 40 candidates from India to become the face of teh country on this global competition, Swapna was also the youngest contestant among the 30 global beauties at Miss Tourism & Culture Universe 2018.
Keeping her Odishan roots intact, she enthralled all at the international stage when she performed ‘Dalkhai’ dance (an authentic Odishan folk dance form) at the presentation ceremony adorning a beautiful ‘Sambalpuri’ sari. The way she talked about the beauty of India along with herstate, Orisha was adorable calling it a country of colours and happiness.
17-year-old Swapna is still in high school studying at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Bilaspur. Coming from a humble background where her father works as a Chief Manager in a Bank, she wans to achieve big in life through pageants and also want to work for the famous film industry of India, Bollywood. What attracts to Swapna is her naive innocent looks that reflects freshness.
She believes that Miss Tourism and Culture Universe 2018 was a stepping stone for her and she has learned immensely from the experience. She has got a better hold of how to present herself and how to be a fairly good candidate for a beauty pageant.
