Olivia Jordan and Paulina Vega Support 11’ Annual Orphaned Starfish Gala!

Miss USA 2015, Olivia Jordan and Miss Universe 2014, Paulina Vega gave their support to the eleventh Annual Orphaned Starfish Foundation to raise awareness for at-risk children. The Gala event took place in New York.

As per the official website, the foundation contributes itself to working with orphans, victims of abuse and at-risk youth. The mission of the Orphaned Starfish Foundation helps in bringing change in the lives of the children. These children are given the opportunity to develop vocational skills and gain employment through technology training. All of these resources will enable them to succeed and overcome their conditions.

Executive director of The Orphaned Starfish Foundation, Andrew Stein states that the organization has helped kids become future doctors, nurses and lawyers., “What we do is help prepare these kids for the future. We help give them vocational training and computers. We give them robotics. We give them English language skills. We give them the tools to succeed, to break the cycles of poverty and abuse.”- He stated in an interview with CBS.

Andrew Stein founded the Orphaned Starfish Foundation in 2001 to facilitate orphans, victims of abuse and at-risk children worldwide escape their cycles of poverty and abuse through education and job training.

Nearly 90 percent of The Orphaned Starfish Foundation’s operating income from the year is raised during its annual gala, which took place again at Cipriani Wall Street. The red carpet was held to benefit more than 9,500 orphans.
