Victoria Piekut of Irwin was crowned Miss Pennsylvania USA 2020 on November 3rd, 2019 at Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center in Johnstown. She succeeds Kailyn Marie Perez for the same title. Victoria was previously International Junior Miss Teen 2015.
Victoria is proud owner of Wight Elephant Boutique and is an official wardrobe provider for Miss America organization. The Wight Elephant Boutique specializes in unique, contemporary and classic styles while representing clothing limes from all around the world. Portions of the sales support of the boutique goes to charities including Save the Elephants Foundation and Dysautonomia Youth Network of America (DYNA)
Victoria has volunteered for the Easter Seals, Go Red for Women, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Race for Grace etc. She is working towards her degree in Marketing with a minor in Small Business Management.
Victoria believes that pageantry has opened her to a world of empowered women who love to support one another. She feels that pageantry has personally & professionally helped her to grow & know more. Victoria was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome or postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome because of which she had to drop out of school.
EDS, is a disease that weakens connective tissues in the body and POTS, is when pools blood at the feet when people sit or stand too long. These conditions have affected Victoria for a long time. She started to use the pageantry’s platform to raise awareness about the disease.
Winning the title of International Junior Miss Teen 2015, Victoria was able to travel the country including Europe and the Bahamas. While being in the travel phase, Victoria still volunteered throughout Pittsburgh and North Huntingdon. She wants to use Miss USA’s platform to throw some much-needed light on their town.
Victoria’s strongest talent is singing Opera. She has received scholarships and both national and international talent awards for opera performance. The boutique owner will be representing Pennsylvania at the spring 2020’s Miss USA 2020.
