Former Miss Ukraine Anastasiia Lenna has given up her heels for combat boots as she has stepped up taking arms to join the fight of Ukraine against Russian invasion. Following the footsteps of their president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, many people have voluntarily taken up arms to assist their country’s military.
Lenna, ever since the invasion, has been sharing various stories on her social media addressing the crisis. Lenna represented Ukraine in the 2015 Miss Grand International beauty contest. She shared a series of photos of herself where she can be seen carrying a gun and is in military uniform.
In one of the said posts, Lenna wrote, “Everyone who crosses the Ukrainian border with the intent to invade will be killed!” She has also continuously urged for support and for donations to the Ukrainian armed forces.
Ukraine has the largest female military force in the world with 36,000 strong women who are perfectly trained to kill. She is just one of thousands of women who are part of the Ukrainian military forces.
