The Miss United Continents organization has recently announced Uruguay’s representative, Yanina Lucas for the upcoming edition of the international pageant. She is the reigning Virreina Hispanoamericana Uruguay 2022 and will participate for the international crown.

The diva is working as professional model and has studied Computer Engineering at UdelaR. She believes that enrolling in the Miss Uruguay modeling school was one of the best decisions she has ever made as it helped her fight against her insecurities. “Thanks to that decision, I am also a new version of myself, a version with more security and self-esteem, which also helped me in other areas of life,” she shared.

Yanina aims at sharing the culture of her country with the world which implies commitment and a lot of preparation and always competing with respect and humility. “I consider that it is a very enriching experience to be able to learn about other cultures and exchange knowledge with the other participants. As soon as I really got to know what representing Uruguay abroad was all about, I decided it was something I wanted to do if the opportunity arose,” she added.

The upcoming edition of the competition will begin on 21st July 2022 and the coronation ceremony will be held on 6th August 2022 in the town of Portoviejo, Ecuador. The reigning queen, Miss United Continents 2019 Anairis Cadavic will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Miss United Continents is an international beauty contest held annually since 2013. Miss United Continent is organized by the Municipality of Guayaquil and Gama TV, one of the largest in the country, which also organizes the event Miss Ecuador under the management of María del Carmen de Aguayo.
