By now, the world knows about the replay of Miss Universe 2015 stint at the Oscars 2017. But, few important moments went unnoticed due to the much hyped gaffe of Oscars this year. Former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo was one of the red carpet guests for the event, and the beauty gained much accolade because of breathtaking gown. Not only did the beaded creation, envisioned by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig of Marchesa, land Olivia on the Best Dressed list at Oscars, it also has a charitable component.

Oliva wore a gown made out of Stella Artois beer glass. The Miss Universe 2012 donned a gorgeous white coloured floor length gown to the Oscars. What might also interest you is the fact that Culpo teamed up with designer Marchesa, non-profit Water.org (cofounded by Cambridge native and Oscars presenter Matt Damon), and beer brand Stella Artois to debut a custom gown in support of a clean drinking water campaign.
The project was in support of the "Buy A Lady A Drink" campaign, Stella Artois' partnership with Water.org to help provide clean water for people in the developing world. Hence, Culpo’s gown was inspired by water. On her Instagram post, Culpo encouraged her followers to buy a chalice at buyaladydrink.com to provide five years of clean drinking water to someone in need.
Culpo explained her dress and the cause behind it at the red carpet of Oscars and said, “[The dress is] in partnership with Stella Artois and Water.org. Stella Artois created chalices and for one chalice sold, five years of clean drinking water is provided for someone in the developing world. So this dress is actually made out of the chalice pieces, and it’s encouraging people to get involved in the water crisis and buy the chalice.”
