Miss Universe 2014 National Costume Top 5 Finalists!

The 63rd Miss Universe pageant commenced with a grand launch of Preliminary Competition on January 21, 2015. The preliminary rounds included Evening Gown, where the contestants swirled around the ramp displaying their gowns. Next, followed by the evening gown were Swim Suit competition and finally National Costume round. The National Costume round was like a splendid carnival, kind of National Parade. The beautiful ladies paraded their Costumes symbolizing their National and cultural heritage. After the candidates exhibited their outfits, it was time to select Top 5 in the National Costume. After some keen observation the Best 5 National Costumes were selected. The Finalist Countries who made it to Top 5 are- Argentina, Canada, Germany, India and Indonesia. The best costume out of the Top 5 will be selected through public voting on Twitter.

The contestant with the highest number of votes will be the National Costume Fan Vote Winner and will be announced during the Finals, on January 25, 2015. The viewers could vote via Twitter using the contestant’s hashtag and #MissUniverse

Miss Universe 2014 Top 5 for National Costume

 

Valentina Ferrer, Miss Universe Argentina 2014, represented one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Iguazu Falls. The striking gown was covered with sleek stones that resembled Iguazu Falls’ rocks and water. Chanel Beckenlehner, Miss Universe Canada 2014, pays respect to the sport of Ice Hockey. There is no greater strength that unifies Canadians than hockey. Josefin Donat, Miss Universe Germany 2014, dedicated her costume to the 25th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Coming from East Germany, she and her family were affected by the fall of the wall. Noyonita Lodh, Miss Universe India 2014, represented Indian women in full glory and elegance. Red symbolised the core mark of power, spirituality and commitment. Elvira Devinamira, Miss Universe Indonesia 2014, depicted the UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Borobudur Temple. The temple was built to promote and establish serene spiritual living.
