Pride of Philippines Pia Wurtzbach meets Jewel of Africa Zozibini Tunzi for the first time

Puteri Indonesia hosted its 24th edition on 6th March 2020 at Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Indonesia. Among 39 other talented contestants, Ayu Maulida Putri of East Java was crowned the new queen at the end of the event. She will now represent Indonesia at the stage of Miss Universe 2020.

The event was graced by two beauty queens who took home the crown of Miss Universe with excellency and poise in their years. Both the queens expressed their gratitude for being invited and wrote on social media profiles for the same. Tunzi took to her profile and posted a picture. captioning it, she wrote, “What an incredible time being a part of @officialputeriindonesia, it was truly an experience”.

Pia, on the other hand, expressed her gratitude for the country and its people as she said, "I’m so happy I finally got to experience Puteri Indonesia. This was long overdue!”.

Both the divas looked stunning in the traditional Indonesian attire, Kebaya. The dress was designed by one of the most expensive and magnificent Kebaya makers in Indonesia, Anne Avantie. Recalling her days of pageantry, Pia admitted that it's great to live a life of striving candidates and was happy to go to the pageant mode again after 5 years. Both Zozibini and Pia have been proving themselves worthy of the title they got. Their truthfulness towards the crown and sense of responsibility for the world makes them elegant queens of all time.

On her trip to Indonesia, Pia fulfilled her duties as the goodwill ambassador of UNAIDS Asia and the Pacific as she scattered awareness on HIV Aids all over the country. Pia Alonso Wurtzbach as she is formally called, was the third Filipina to bag the crown of Miss Universe. She made her way to the title vying against 80 contestants from different regions.
