The reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach is currently busy exploring Ecuador, also known as “miniature South America”.

The Pinay queen went to Ecuador over the weekend to lend a hand to victims of the recent quake-stricken, a report on Unang Balita on Monday said.  

Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach helped quack-stricken with the relief efforts of the Red Cross. She is paying off her duties as representative of the Miss Universe Organisation. The German-Filipino beauty also appealed to the mass to continue their support with the relief efforts for earthquake victims.

Ecuador was smack by a magnitude 7.8 earthquake on April 16’ 2016.

Meanwhile, the 26 years old beauty queen also made an appearance at the Machala parade, wherein she thanked all those who supported her during her win at Miss Universe 2015 held on December 20’ 2015 in Las Vegas.

She took her official Instagram account and posted a picture with Miss Ecuador 2016, Connie Jimenez. Her post reads – “Your Miss Ecuador 2016 is definitely a stunner! You should be proud, Ecuadorians. Very well rounded and a great personality to match. ?? See you in Miss Universe, Connie! ?? P.S. @francescaciprianib I missed you! Next time! Enjoy your vacation??”

Held at the trading floor of the Machaleña Unity, the Annual Machala Parade saw so many Ecuadorians enjoying folk dance, music and other specialties of Ecuador.

The beauty queen paraded in an allegoric carriage decorated with the flag of the Philippines donning blue colored jumpsuit. She looked like a true beauty queen.

Before attending the mesmerizing parade, she went to take part in a Solidarity Dinner for the benefit of Los Niños de la Casita de Mis Sueños.
