24 years old Rylee Field has been crowned as the Miss Vermont 2016 on May 27’ 2016 at the historic Barre Opera House. Rylee will now represent Vermont at the Miss America 2017 pageant to be held at the Broadwalk Hall in Altantic City on September 11’ 2016.
Rylee is completed B.A in creative writing from Colby-Sawyer College. Rylee expressed her joy after winning the crown and said, “With the title of Miss Vermont, I plan work closely with the many organizations within Vermont that focus on mental illness prevention, treatment, and recovery.”
“Long before the competition this weekend, I knew that I wanted to spend my year as Miss Vermont giving back to the wonderful state that gave me so much. Being from Vermont, being a Vermonter, is a great source of pride for me. I cannot wait to experience every corner of this state.”

The beauty queen will spend the next year promoting her platform, Find a Happy Place: Positive Mental Health and Wellness across the state. She currently works as a wedding Coordinator & Marketing Assistant in Montpelier, Vermont.

At the same event, Alexandra Diehl was crowned as Miss Vermont’s Outstanding Teen 2016.
The mission of the Miss Vermont organization is to promote personal and professional development, civic consciousness, service, higher education, and integrity.
