The 65th edition of Miss Universe pageant is scheduled to be held on 30th January 2017 and is also the reigning hot topic of pageant fans and followers. One of the most popular beauty pageants is going to take place in one of the most pageant fanatic nations, the Philippines, and the excitement is at its peak.

On Wednesday, the representatives of the Miss Universe pageant, the Department of Tourism, and sponsors signed a contract that sealed their commitment to organise the Miss Universe 2016 pageant in the Philippines on 30th January 2017. During the ceremony, the President of Miss Universe Organisation Business Development, Shawn McClain, said that the Philippines will benefit from the 3-hour event that will be telecast worldwide.
"We will have a team of about 400 people here, and we're gonna be visiting lots of different places, and we're going to be showing the world what the Philippines has to offer. And we're gonna be helping boost tourism, and putting positive focus on everything that the Philippines is and stands for and will be in the future," McClain added.
At the same event, the pageant's official website (www.65thmissuniverse.com) and Facebook page (@MissUniverse65th) was also launched. At the conclusion of the finale of Miss Universe 2016, Pia Wurtzbach of Philippines will pass on her crown to her successor. Who do you think will win the title this year?
