With just a week left for Pia WUrtzbach to pass on her crown to her successor, the excitement is at its peak. To heighten the excitement, the Miss Universe Organisation made an announcement that is definitely going to make your day. Miss Universe Philippines 2010 Venus Raj will be joining the gala finale of Miss Universe 2016 as the red carpet co-host. Venus will co-host the red carpet with a popular You Tube and social media star, Bretman Rock.

Beauty Pageant titleholder turned actress, model and TV host, that’s how you suitably describe Venus Raj. Venus etched a niche in the history of Miss Universe for Philippines, as the beauty queen broke the ten years long drought of Philippines’ placement in the semi-finals. She was titled the fourth runner-up at the Miss Universe 2010. The news about Venus hosting the red carpet was confirmed on the Miss Universe website.

The gala finale of Miss Universe 2016 is slated to be held on 30th January 2017 in Manila, Philippines. Around 86 contestants are vying for the crown this year, and at the conclusion of the finale Pia Wurtzbach will pass on her crown to her successor. Steve Harvey and Ashley Graham will host the main event on January 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
