Next edition of Miss Universe will be held in Belize?

Steve Harvey’s infamous flub during the finale of the Miss Universe 2015 pageant on Sunday night has been the best/worst thing for beauty contests in years. The pageant got more attention than it would have received if Harvey correctly announced the winner, so it’s no surprise to learn that he would be welcomed back.

But amidst the controversies, if the buzz is to be believed then the next edition of the Miss Universe will be held in Belize, North America, like WME IMG chief content officer Mark Shapiro said in his interview with Jim Rome. Will Belize be hosting the upcoming edition of the Miss Universe? Is the host city of the Miss Universe’ sixty-fifth edition has been decided already?

Next edition of Miss Universe will be held in Belize?

 

Chief Content Officer for “Miss Universe” Mark Shapiro said on Jim Rome’s CBS Sports Radio Show that the “Family Feud” host was “very remorseful” about the error and that Harvey was “absolutely” welcome back to host the 2016 pageant in Belize.

Harvey mistakenly crowned the wrong Miss Universe 2016. He announced Miss Colombia as the winner when it was supposed to be Miss Philippines.

Well, if that is true than one thing is for sure that hopefuls will have the never-ending fun because Belize is known for its beaches, eco-lodges, scuba diving and sport fishing. Offshore, the massive Belize Barrier Reef which will be stupendously amazing for the contestants.

Meanwhile, the Belize Tourism Board invited Harvey to the next pageant in the Central American country on Twitter. According to a renowned news portal, Belize is hosting the International Costa Maya Festival from Aug. 6 to 9, which includes a beauty pageant.
