Miss Universe 2019 delegates Hoàng Th? Thùy from Vietnam and Madison Anderson Berríos from Puerto Rico just did a live session on Instagram where they talked about their Miss Universe stint, the infamous National Costume debacle and things they have been doing to stay sane during the lockdown. Madison rose to fame as she was adjudged the first runner-up to Zozibini Tunzi Miss Universe 2019. Hoang Thuy made it to Top 20 at the end of the event finale with her stunning performance.

As a coach of Miss Face Vietnam, in 2017, there was a viral proverb related to hibiscus images with the meaning of beautiful flowers without fragrance. This sentence can be roughly understood as looking beautiful without really having any talent. So when Madison Anderson decided to wear the flower as her National Costume in Miss Universe 2019, Hoang’s fans really teased her about her quote from when she was the coach.

Ofcourse Madison found it funny and laughed ecstatic but Thuy also subtly sent an apology to the representative of Puerto Rico for the viral meaning. Madison also appreciated Thuy’s costume inspired by coffee, a drink she has enjoyed over and over. She also hopes to have the opportunity to visit Vietnam soon and ask Hoang Thuy to be her ‘guide’. Madison last visited Vietnam to launch the Miss International Peace 2017 contest.

Being 28-years-old now, this is the last year Hoang could try her luck at an international pageant and Madison also encouraged her to go for Miss Supranational or Miss International and win a crown for her country this year. Would you like to see Hoang Thuy compete at another international pageant?
