Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi has done it again! Adding another stunning feather to her accomplished cap, Zozi has been nominated for E! People’s Choice Awards under the African Social Star of 2020 category.
Zozibini took to her social media to announce the wonderful news in a post captioned, “Guuuuys!! Wake up if you're sleeping. I'm so incredibly honored to be nominated for the E! People's Choice Awards under the category African Social Star of 2020. It's a beautiful one because you guys get to choose your winner.”
She also explained the voting process to her followers and wrote, “You can vote in two ways by visiting the link on my bio and voting up to 25 times a day (Feel free to use all your 25 votes on me everyday ??). You can also Tweet and hashtag both #ZoziTunzi #AfricanSocialStar on the same Tweet! Thanks in advance for your votes and support always!”
While Zozi is currently in New York, US, she is more than happy to have been given this amazing chance. She has been nominated alongside social media star and model Karl Kugelmann; rapper, actress and poet Sho Madjozi; international Emmy Award-nominee and actress Thuso Mbedu; magician and TikTok star Wian van den Berg; Nigerian YouTube sensation Dimma Umeh; Kenyan comedian and internet star Elsa Majimbo; and Ghana’s African Movie Academy Award-winning actress Lydia Forson.
After winning Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini has been using her platform to actively raise awareness around gender-based violence (GBV) and gender equality. Zozi will also be attending the Miss South Africa 2020 pageant this year which will be held at Cape Town’s The Table Bay Hotel on 24th October 2020.
