Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza receives grand welcome in Mexico

The 69th edition of Miss Universe i.e., Miss Universe 2020, was held on 16th May 2021 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, United States where Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa crowned Andrea Meza of Mexico as the new Miss Universe at the end of the event finale.

The 26-year-old Andrea beat 73 other contestants to win the coveted crown. After winning Miss Universe 2020, Andrea Meza became the third woman from her country to win the Miss Universe crown. After over a month of crowning and fulfilling her responsibilities in the States, the reigning queen is finally back home.

Arriving from New York a few hours ago, she was met with a throng of media and fan supporters at the airport. The sea of people surrounded Andrea as she was received by Lupita Jones National Director of Mexicana Universal and former Miss Universe at the arrival. As she came her way out of the terminal, she was seen overwhelmed with the turnout of the people who showed up to welcome the Mexican pride.

Andrea left with a dream and returned home triumphant. Andrea’s homecoming tour and agenda has been scheduled from 5th – 10th July 2021. She will be attending media interviews and events throughout the country over the week. Meza will also crown Debora Hallal as Miss Universe Mexico 2021 tomorrow. The organization is yet to announce the exact times of all public events which will be announced soon too.

It is no surprise that Andrea received such a warm and grand welcome since beauty queens are given importance in this part of the globe. Beauty pageants thrive extremely well in Mexico especially now most of its representatives have been winning crowns and placing so high in recent memory.



Andrea will also be visiting her home town Chihuahua as a part of her schedule. She is also the Tourism Brand Ambassador for Chihuahua, promoting the best tourist attractions and its rich culture. She is also an activist focused on women’s rights and inclusion and currently works closely with the Municipal Institute for Women which aims to end gender violence.

Filled with excitement and joy to see their queen bring home the crown, the fans are looking forward to Andrea’s tour.
