Miss Universe organization participated in the Mardi Gras Parade on 6th January 2022 in downtown New Orleans. It was a fun gala time at the 12th Night Kickoff Festival for the delegates who participated at the event. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu also participated at the parade.

The group including contestants from Belgium, Brazil, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, France, Guatemala, Indonesia, Italy, Mauritius, Nepal, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Peru, Poland, Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia, Seychelles, USA and Venezuela presented their national costumes at Miss Universe 2022.

The second group including contestants from Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Bulgaria, Laos, Nigeria, Singapore and Vietnam appeared in their opening dresses. The parade was held from 5-10 PM (NOLA Time). It was amazing to see the contestants get together and enjoy the local culture of New Orleans. More events and activities will be held in the following days.

Miss Universe 2022, the 71st Miss Universe pageant, will be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14th January 2023. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event finle.
