In a recent interview with RCN Colombia, Anne Jakrajutatip talked about introducing new special awards at the finale night. However, it is not 100% guaranteed yet as the official statement from the Miss Universe Organization is not yet released.
The new special awards – Miss Photogenic, Miss Congeniality and Best in Swimsuit might be introduced at the international pageant from this year. The finale night sees Best in National Costume being awarded every year and these new additions will be welcomed by the viewers surely.
Miss Universe 2022, the 71st Miss Universe pageant, will be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14th January 2023. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event.
