Miss Universe 2023, 72nd edition of Miss Universe, will be held later this year in El Salvador where stunning delegates from all over the world will compete for the international crown. Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

As the pageant fanatics are preparing their wishlists for the same, Romina Denecken has surpassed almost all of them as a fan-favourite for Miss Universe Chile 2023. Romina Denecken van der Veen rose to fame when she represented Chile at Miss Earth 2021.

A Chilean model, Romina Denecken hails from Colina. Being of mixed heritage, Romina’s father is German-Italian while her mother is Dutch-Bolivian and was born in Peru. A multilingual, Romina fluenty speaks Spanish, English, Italian and Japanese.

Standing a whopping 5 feet 9 inches tall, Romina definitely has the characteristics of a Universe queen. She entered pageantry when she joined Miss Chile 2020 and was officially appointed Miss Earth Chile 2021. She went on to represent her country at Miss Earth 2021, virtual pageant held due to covid-19, where she was adjudged Miss Earth-Water 2021 at 20 years of age.

Romina has also studied Fashion Designing at Istituto Marangoni. She is a beauty with brains capable of representing her country at an international platform such as Miss Universe. The country has not placed at Miss Universe in almost the last two decades. Sofía Nieves Depassier Miss Universe Chile 2022 represented her country at Miss Universe 2022 and won Miss Congeniality. Maybe 2023 will be the year when Chile will be able to break the placement drought at Miss Universe.
