The Miss Universe Albania organization hosted the 2022 edition of the national pageant on 9th and 10th June 2022, where stunning delegates from Albania and Kosovo competed for the crowns of Miss Universe Albania 2022 and Miss Universe Kosovo 2022.

At the end of the event, Deta Kokomani was crowned Miss Universe Albania 2022 as she succeeded Miss Universe Albania 2021 Ina Dajci to represent the country at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant. Apart from the new queen, Angela Tanuzi was crowned Miss World Albania 2022, Rigelsa Cybi was crowned Miss Earth Albania 2022 and Xheni Kambo was adjudged as the first runner-up.

Hailing from the beautiful city of Durres, 21 year old Deta is currently a third year student in the branch of Pharmacy, also certified in cosmetology. Although she is pursuing the medical field, art has been a core part of her life since childhood. The diva studied piano for about 6 years at the Artistic High School of Durres, a passion which she still practices in her spare time.

She believes that everything comes into our lives at the right time and in the right place and Miss Universe is the destination where she should be in this chapter of her life. “A chapter where I feel more confident & more confident than ever to represent the figure and values ??of Albanian women in the world. At the end of this experience I expect to be remembered not just as a beautiful girl, but as a woman who can really use the platform of this competition to make a difference in society,” she added.

After winning the title, Deta shared, “Words are not enough for the emotions I feel today. It is an honor, privilege and great responsibility to represent my Albania in Miss Universe.” She will represent Albania at the 71st edition of the Miss Universe pageant, i.e., Miss Universe 2022, scheduled to be held later this year where delegates from all over the world will compete for the coveted crown.
