Tegan got admitted after ‘eating everything in sight’. Life as a beauty queen demands dropping weight for the catwalk, but Tegan Martin is delighted to have put on four kilos — even if it cost her a day in hospital. She flew into Sydney from the jungle with serious abdominal pains after “eating everything in sight”. “Within a few days I’d eaten the house down and I actually made myself quite sick,” said Tegan.

The hospital said you’ve eaten too much, your bodies not used to the saturated fats. I’d had no dairy, no sugar, so to go back to eating all the things I was bingeing on was not a good idea,” added Tegan. She suffered from abdominal pains. Tegan thanks to a diet of Pringles, hot chips, chocolate and rib eye steak in the days after she got out, that she has now gained back the four kilos she lost during the show. She also said that she wanted to gain those kilos, and added, “I’d lost four kilos more than I wanted to lose, I was fit, healthy and bikini ready when I went in so to lose four kilos on top of that was pretty intense.

Tegan had previously voiced out on the quantity of food, while she was in the show. “I know I'm a model, but I need more food than that,” said Tegan. “Hopefully I don't get too hungry. If it's that time of the month and I've had no food, I'd say the other contestants would rather face a wild lion than Tegan,” added Tegan, talking about the food supply.
