It’s that time of the year when the countries select their representatives to the international pageant. Selecting a perfect representative takes a lot of observing and proper judgement. The organisations are also burdened with the responsibility of selecting a candidate who can be at par with other delegates of different countries. So, in course of finding the perfect representation, the organisation receives both negative and positive feedback from fans and audiences who are the viewers of the pageant.
Recently, two major pageants – Nuestra Belleza Mexico and Senorita Colombia – concluded their pageant for the year 2017, and came up with two supremely outstanding delegates who will represent Mexico and Colombia at Miss Universe 2017 pageant. Denisse Franco Pina was crowned Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2017 and Laura Gonzalez Ospina was crowned as Miss Colombia 2017. Both the beauties were major favourite in their individual pageants, and look like a potential contender to compete at Miss Universe pageant. So it looks like we already have two strong Latinas who will be battling it out for the Miss Universe 2017 title. Let’s take a closer look at the two beauty queens, starting with Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2017 Denisse Franco Pina.

18 year old Denisse Franco is beautifully confident representative of Mexico at Miss Universe 2017. Standing at a towering height of 176cm, Denisse very confidently said that she is going for the third Miss Universe crown of Mexico, after her crowning. Blessed with perfect modelisque features and toned body, Denisse is going to be a sure shot hit at the Miss Universe pageant. However, her victory was not all cheerful and not many approved of her crowning. There were many who criticised her Q&A and questioned her victory based on her answer. But, Denisse sure knows how to clear all the dirt without actually having to get into the dirt. Responding to all the criticism, Denisse said that fans often disapprove of a result when their favourite don’t win, and this was one such case. She also added that her intelligence cannot be judged on the basis of one answer. Now that was one graceful response, wasn’t it? All in all, we think, just a little dedication towards her walk, and proper training on her speech, and she might just secure a place for Mexico at the 66th edition of Miss Universe.

Another strong Latina is on board to clinch the Miss Universe title is Miss Colombia 2017 Laura Gonzalez Ospina. 21 year old Laura Gonzalez stands tall at 178cm, and this Colombia diva knows multiple languages including Spanish, English and French, interesting? Well, she is also a strong head determined contender, who when once sets her eyes on something, will end up getting it. So, can we expect another Miss Universe crown for Colombia?? Interestingly, Colombia has been crowning really strong delegates for all the international pageants, and not just Miss Universe. The country is coming back in the game and is speedily arriving as one of the major powerhouses of beauty. Another interesting fact is that Laura is not a beauty pageant pro, and this was her first attempt at Miss Colombia, and her second attempt at beauty pageant; first one being a regional pageant. Laura, however, will have to work on her body, as was visible during the swimsuit round of Miss Colombia. But, what should also be noticed, is the fact that despite of not being in perfect shape, the beauty won the hearts of the judges with her attitude, confidence and of course her answer at the Q&A round. Just a little work on her body, and Laura is good to go.
