Australia’s Moraya Wilson to don ‘native wildflowers’ inspired national costume for Miss Universe 2023

The official national costume of Miss Universe Australia 2023 Moraya Wilson was revealed on ‘The Morning Show’ which plays homage to incredible and unique native wildflowers of Australia. The national costume is created by fashion designer Emma Daley.

The native wildflowers of Australia, the country’s most prized assets, represent each state and territory and the magical connections to the Australian land, telling stories of cultural, historical and spiritual significance. Using colours symbolising the land, sea, sun and people, each flower is individually screen printed on raw silk organza appliquéd with sequins and feathers.



Moraya Wilson, also took to her official social media, as she expressed her feelings in a post captioned, “In awe of this gown Emma Daley Designs, you are so incredibly talented and creative. I’m so proud to be wearing this as my National Costume at Miss Universe in less than a month.”

The costume was revealed on the Morning Show on 7 which she will wear at the National Costume competition of Miss Universe 2023 –



Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd edition of Miss Universe, will be held at the National Gymnasium in San Salvador, El Salvador on 18th November 2023 where Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel of USA will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
