All about Miss Universe Australia 2023 Moraya Wilson

Victoria’s Moraya Wilson was crowned Miss Universe Australia 2023 at the finals of the national pageant held on 1st September 2023 at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins. Moraya has become the official representative of Australia at Miss Universe 2023.

Wilson is currently a sports coach at a secondary school across 3 disciplines; Athletics, Cross Country and Snowsports. Along with that, Moraya has also been working as a model for the past five years, travelling and working around Australia.

On the education front, Wilson is on her last few weeks of her Bachelor of Business Marketing Degree at RMIT University in Melbourne. According to Wilson, her unique attribute is her sporting background. She competed for 8 years internationally as a downhill ski racer and spent the majority of her adolescence training and racing as both a ski racer and a track athlete.

 

 

Moraya also plans to launch her own clothing business called Bee and Bare Clothing before 2024. Moraya is very passionate about promoting sports as critical to youth development.

“Self-discipline, resilience, teamwork, independence, and confidence I developed at a young age as part of being a competitive athlete. Coaching kids now, I want as many young people as possible to throw themselves into sport and get involved as it’s far more beneficial to so many aspects of your life, than just a healthy heart”, she quotes.

 

 

Moraya Wilson succeeds and was crowned by Miss Universe Australia 2022 Monique Riley. Moraya will compete at Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd edition of Miss Universe, which will be held in El Salvador on 18th November 2023 where Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel of USA will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
