Lujane Yacoub was crowned Miss Universe Bahrain 2023 at the finale of the national pageant held on Saturday, 2nd September 2023 held at Mirihi Island Resort in Maldives. Yacoub will now prepare to represent Bahrain at Miss Universe 2023.

Lujane Yacoub is 19 years of age who grew up in UAE. She is a Bahraini-American actress, dancer, and model by profession. This was Lujane’s second attempt at the national pageant as she competed last year and placed first runner-up.

Lujane wants to use her platform to empower children through arts and expression. The stunning beauty is currently an active volunteer in several local organizations in Bahrain teaching children arts.

She also hopes to help address and dispel many misconceptions and stereotypes surrounding women in the Middle East. "For me personally, being a woman in Bahrain, I find it important to showcase the fact that Arab women aren't oppressed and have the capability to hold their own within the culture”, she quoted.

The newly crowned Miss Universe Bahrain 2023 Lujane Yacoub’s court included –

1st Runner-up – Advaita Shetty

2nd Runner-up – Tuhina Carrol

The first runner-up Advaita Shetty was also awarded Kevin Murphy Social Media Challenge.

The pageant was streamed live on the YouTube channel. Lujane will compete at Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd edition of Miss Universe, which will be held in El Salvador on 18th November 2023 where Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel of USA will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
