Ileann Powery was crowned Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2023 at the finale of the national pageant held on Saturday, 2nd September 2023 at the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa. Powery will now prepare to represent Cayman Islands at Miss Universe 2023.

Ileann Powery is 25 years of age and an entrepreneur and professional volleyball player from West Bay. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2022 Chloe Powery-Doxey.

Also at the finale, Sydonie Barrett and Tracey Campbell were adjudged as the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Ayana Woolery and Mili Almaguer were adjudged as the rest of the finalists.

A number of special awards were also presented at the finale; Miss Congeniality and Ted Green Brand Ambassador was awarded to Tracey Campbell, Miss Photogenic went to Mili Almaguer, Miss Best Smile was awarded to Sydonie Barrett while Miss Best in Interview, Best in Swimwear, Miss Best In Gown, Miss Social Impact, the People’s Choice Award, and Miss Crowd Favourite was awarded to Illean Powery.

The 2023 edition of Miss Universe Cayman Islands was the first edition of the national pageant since the Cayman government dropped the license earlier this year. The Miss Universe Cayman Islands organization is now headed by Catherine Tyson-Sewell with Derri Dacres-Lee as national director.
