The finale of Miss Universe Belize 2022 was held on Saturday, 13th August 2022 at the Bliss Center for Performing Arts in Belize City where Ashley Lightburn was crowned the new queen. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Universe Belize 2021 Iris Salguero.

Ashley Lightburn is a 25-year-old mathematician and an adjunct math lecturer at the University of Belize and a project management officer at a bank. she attended the University of Belize in Belmopan, Belize where she earned her bachelor’s degree in pure mathematics in 2019.

In 2020, she joined the University of Belize as an adjunct lecturer and in 2021, she earned her master’s degree in business administration from Marconi International University in Miami, Florida, USA.

Also at the end of the event finale, Alina Scott and Samantha Singh were the first and second runners-up respectively. A total of six finalists participated in this year's Miss Belize competition who were 20-year-old Grace Brown of San Pedro Town, 25-year-old Ashley Lightburn of Belize City, 27-year-old Samantha Singh of Placencia Town, 22-year-old Sigourney Usher of San Ignacio Town, 27-year-old Kenia Tejada of Spanish Lookout, 27-year-old Alina Scott from Cayo, and 19-year-old Kaira Nuñez from Orange Walk. Ashley will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2022.
