The 70th edition of Miss Universe pageant, Miss Universe 2021, is all set to be held on 13th December 2021 in Eilat, Israel as Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
While the delegates are in the last leg of their preparations and have started to depart for the host country, Miss Universe Bolivia 2021 Nahemi Uequin has revealed her national costume, ‘Guardiana de la Chiquitania’ for the preliminary competition at the 70th Miss Universe pageant.
Designed by Qhapan Nan Art, this costume represents the Bolivian Chiquitania, the fauna and also symbolizes the serious forest fires that are generated in this area which is a conscience call for all in which we can end this disaster. The design house shared that they refer the costume as fire that devours the flora and fauna of the country and throughout America. They also shared a message, “Let’s stop uncontrolled burns, let’s take care of our environment, let’s take care of our home!”
Nahemi hails from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia and speaks Spanish, English and German. She attended Colegio Aleman in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Nahemi Uequin had the opportunity to study at a German school, which led her to know new cultures and traditions. When she did her exchange in northern Germany, she also managed to become a more independent woman and never gave up on her goals. Her sensitivity and charisma made her a young benefactor of different homes and solidarity institutions in the city.
She always seeks to contribute to others, not only collecting and carrying material and economic goods but at the same time with her work, dedication, and love. Her works grew every time because she knew how to use her social networks to publicize the different needs and it is in this way that she believes that what is done with the heart, always turns out well.
She is currently carrying out her social project helping to raise awareness about the value of women and showing her society and the world the femicides that occurred in Bolivia, a project that not only helps raise awareness about the value and importance of life but also empowers. She is a woman of faith, who fully believes that God's designs are perfect.
