Miss Universe Brazil 2020 Julia Gama, adapting to the latest covid-19 norms and regulations, has arrived in Cancun, Mexico to complete the required quarantine to enter the United States where she will be representing Brazil at the 69th edition of Miss Universe.
Julia, on jetting off, expressed her emotions in a post captioned, “I feel a step closer to the final destination of this journey. Being Miss Universe Brazil in the midst of a pandemic requires a lot of adaptation, patience and a sense of purpose. So far, these have been challenging, beautiful and unforgettable months. In these few months as Miss Brasil, I feel that I have lived experiences that are equivalent to years. It was the honor of representing Brazil and the love for our nation that kept me, in the ups and downs of the days, focused and dedicated.”
“If I have the strength to dream so big, it is thanks to the love and unconditional support that I have always received from my family, my friends and my boyfriend. I only have the courage to go because I know I have nowhere to go. I know that being by my side is experiencing a new adrenaline rush every day, and you embraced and lived this dream as if it were yours. I love you endlessly and my gratitude is eternal. Gratitude to the Miss Universo Brasil Organization, for trusting me with the responsibility of being Miss Brasil 2020 and supporting me towards the Miss Universe crown. From the first day, I was 100% committed to this challenge and I remained focused and dedicated to be the best I can be and represent Brazil with excellence, and so I will continue”, she added.
This is Julia’s second international stint as she previously represented her country at Miss World 2014 where she placed in the Top 11 with her stellar performance. Julia wishes to use the platform to encourage people to believe in themselves, in the power of work and dedication. She is an ambassador for ‘Smile Train’ in Brazil, an organization providing corrective surgery for children with cleft lips and palates. She has also been an ambassador for the fight against Hanse’s Disease for the last six years. She wants to raise awareness about it, break the stigma and prejudice the society has. The Brazilian beauty will surely be a strong contender at the international competition with her beauty, intelligence and grace.
