Brazil’s Julia Gama to speak at United Nations Higher Commission on Refugees seminar in Dubai

Miss Universe 2020 first runner-up Julia Gama of Brazil arrived in Dubai on 15th July 2021 for a seminar in partnership with the United Nations Higher Commission on Refugees (UNHCR). On her arrival, she was greeted by Josh Yugen, Publisher, and Editor-in-Chief of ‘Xpedition Magazine’ in Dubai.

Julia took to her social media to share a picture of the Burj Khalifa and stated how impressed she was with the beauty of the man-made structure. She wrote, "I've barely arrived and I'm already impressed with Dubai! This beauty is the Burj Khalifa, the largest tower in the world. It's 828 meters high! Impressive. The queen of Brazil will be one of the panelist speakers at the #UnitedTalk Series and share her thoughts and personal experiences about women's empowerment and how her cultural exposure has helped her to empower her fellow women in the workforce. She came from a culturally mixed family made up of Italian, German, Lebanese, and Portuguese people.

She moved to China in 2016 and started working as a professional model and actress for the next three years, and started prepping herself for the national crown. For her cultural contribution, she received the "The Most Incredible Award" from the Belt and the Road Chinese Government International Initiative in 2017. The diva has always aspired to represent Brazil at Miss Universe and was finally appointed to represent Brazil at Miss Universe 2020.
