Miss Universe Vietnam organization has appointed Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen to represent Vietnam at the 70th edition of the pageant becoming the first country to officially enter the Miss Universe 2021 competition. The queen has recently put aside her crown to fight the global pandemic. Kim Duyen joined the frontline against the Covid-19 epidemic in Ho Minh Chi City, like a real queen as she joined forces with doctors and police to coordinate to collect the city's test samples.
The main activity is to coordinate and guide people in epidemic areas to take Covid-19 test samples. After joining the Volunteer Team against Covid-19 of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Duyen understood how stressful and complicated the current situation is.
She also took to her social media to urge people to not leave the house unless it is urgent and for everyone to stay calm and follow the direction of the State’s Ministry of Health. “Increase vitamin C supplements, gargle with salt water and wash your hands often to protect your health as well as avoid disease spreading in the community,” she added.
Previously, Duyen also accompanied VRI GROUP and Unicorp present in Long An province, as a brand ambassador of Vietnam Solar Park, to support 600 million VND to the Covid-19 vaccine fund for local people. In the spirit of mutual affection and determination to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic together, Duyen hopes that her contributions will help the people of Long An province feel more confident to take care of their lives.
Kim is 25-years-old and stands 173 cm tall and graduated in Business Administration from Stamford Raffles University, Singapore. She is also the co-founder of the ‘Spread of Love’ fund and accompanying the implementation of the project ‘With Me to School’, that is responsible for giving backpacks, books, and small fruits to add love to the children before entering the new school year.
Kim is known for her confident carriage, charisma and has the advantage of speaking fluent English. Kim seems like a fierce candidate who can represent Vietnam at Miss Universe stage with utmost potential as she prepares in full spirits for her international stint.
