It was only after the picture went on Instagram and the beauty captioned it saying that it was an honour for her to meet the president, that some of the Filipinos started to bash out and some corrected her mistake. The 22 year old from Road Town, British Virgin Islands, corrected her mistake. The picture was actually with Mr. Chavit Singson, one of the partners of the 65^th Miss Universe beauty pageant. Chavit Singson was the Governor of the province of Ilocos Sur, Philippines and the Deputy National Security Adviser for the Philippine government.

While bashers filled her Instagram comment section with negative comments, soon there were her supporters giving her best of wishes and lots of love. A lot of people from the Philippines, where the pageant is being held, took to Instagram to welcome the beauty in her country.
