Miss Universe British Virgin Islands 2019 hosted its grand coronation night on 4th August 2019 at the Multipurpose Sports Complex where Bria Ashley Smith was crowned the new queen and became the official representative of her country in Miss Universe 2019. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Universe British Virgin Islands 2018 A’yana Keshelle Phillips.
The 26-year-old Bria Smith is the 65th Festival title holder and the 44th Miss British Virgin Islands. The newly crowned queen is a confident, attractive and charming woman who is showing great potential for her country to win a crown this year.
She took to her social media to reveal her emotions in a post captioned, “On August 4, 2019 (one day after my 26th birthday) I was selected to reign over the Virgin Islands Emancipation Celebration as Miss British Virgin Islands 2019. As Miss British Virgin Islands 2019, I will serve as the 65th Festival title holder and the 44th Miss British Virgin Islands. I will also have the opportunity to attend the Miss Universe pageant at the end of the year.”
Last year, A’yana Keshelle Phillips represented British Virgin Islands in Miss Universe 2019 but failed to win a placement in the Top. The country is yet to win a high placement or a crown at Miss Universe pageant.
