Monalisa Mouketey (aka Mouketey Lynette Monalisa Jelly), Miss Cameroun 2023 first runner-up, has been appointed as the new Miss Universe Cameroon 2022 and will now represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe pageant. The appointment was made by Miss Cameroun organization.
Monalisa Mouketey is 26 years of age and hails from Douala. She is a youth empowerment advocate and founder of the Miss Monalisa Charity Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people.
Monalisa represented South West at the recently held Miss Cameroun 2023 where she was adjudged as the first runner-up to Ndoun Issie Marie Princesse. She also held the titles Miss Commonwealth Africa Charity 2021, Miss University Africa Central 2021, and Miss Beach 2015 previously.
Miss Universe 2022, the 71st Miss Universe pageant, is all set to be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14th January 2023. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
