It was a glorious night for the Philippines when Catriona Gray became the fourth Filipina to win the Mikimoto crown at the finale of Miss Universe 2018 held on 17th December 2018. Before her, Pia Wurtzbach won the title of Miss Universe 2015 for the Philippines. The two gorgeous Filipinas and Miss Universe sisters have been an exemplar of beauty, grace and benevolence. The two beauties are sincerely dedicated and actively involved in their respective advocacies and philanthropic projects.
Both these beauty queens are now going to be a part of the Ripple Awards which is a part of Asia’s premier charity and awards gala night i.e. The Love Gala for HIV/AIDS. The primary objective of this award night is to recognize and honour the hard work and charity of individuals, organizations and social projects who possesses the ability to motivate other people towards uplifting the lives of those affected by the epidemic of HIV/AIDS.
To promote the Love Gala for HIV/AIDS, the reigning Miss Universe Catriona Gray took to her social media and announced, “There is courage that comes from a resolve to be seen and heard by everyone. Now more than ever, we need that heroism to ensure there is no more reason to hide our love.” The stunning Catriona also posted a video in which she greeted everyone and announced about the premier celebration of HIV advocacy – The Love Gala 2019.
The beauty queen also expressed that the award function is going to be a star-studded affair in which her Miss Universe sister Pia Wurtzbach is also going to join hands with the diva. The event goes beyond the glitter and glamour and focuses on recognising charitable acts done by individuals and group of individuals for the HIV/AIDS advocacy. The event is going to take place on Saturday, 11th May 2019 at the ABS-CBN Vertis Tent in Quezon City, Philippines.
