With the announcement of the requirements for the delegates of Miss Universe Colombia 2020 under the guidance of national director Natalie Ackermann, the organization and the pageant fanatics have been in search for a potential candidate who will represent Colombia at Miss Universe 2020 stage. Miss Universe Colombia decided to branch out from Senorita Colombia Organization very recently.
With a list of delegates being prepared for the competition, Miriam Carranza has caught our attention for the title. She is one of the candidates who have confirmed their registration for the competition and has started to prepare themselves to represent Atlántico at the competition. She is 25-years-old and stands 175 cm tall. She has her degree in social communication from the Autonomous University of the Caribbean and works as a journalist along with working as a professional model. Mimi is a model as well and has a very fit and healthy body. She plays tennis, does yoga and ballet to maintain her perfect beach body.
Miriam is not new to the beauty pageant world but has represented Colombia at Miss Supranational 2018 where she was placed at Top 25 at the end of the event finale. Prior to that Mimi was also a part of Comité de Belleza Atlántico where she became Virreina Señorita Atlantico 2018, but later became the representative of Atlantico in the coveted national competition which also goes under the name “Rumbo a Miss Universe”. She has worked with various designers and brands to gain more experience and establish herself as a successful model in Colombia.
The diva is fluent in English language and describes herself as a woman in love with God and life, disciplined, dedicated and respectful of the time of others. Her motto is glamor, fashion, and natural beauty. She explained that being a professional in the field of communication has given her the advantage of language as well as strong communication, which combined with her personality makes it easier for her to communicate in a better way with others. She hopes on working to ace that skill and use it during the competition to the fullest. She seeks to break down the barriers and stigmas that exist around the women who participate in the reigns from their studies and preparation.
“All the divas who aspire to be beauty queens are prepared, intelligent and capable of more than they give themselves credits for. Women today need to understand that they are qualified for any role in society and we can use this and our studies as a platform to transmit with our voice what those around us may need,” she explained.
Mimi stated that she is dedicated, committed, disciplined, and completely focused on winning the title for her country. She describes that she is a woman full of dreams and with clear objectives to fulfil. Miriam hopes to win the crown of this important contest and leave the name of the country high with her participation. In one of her social media posts, she has urged everyone to support each other and be kind towards everyone especially during such times like covid19. She likes to travel and spend her time at the beach with her close friends and family. Mimi is very thankful for the opportunities she has received till date which, has helped her to be a successful model and now is on her journey to get the beauty queen title and represent Colombia at Miss Universe 2020 stage.
