Camila Avella crowned Miss Universe Colombia 2023

Maria Camila Avella Montañez, representing Casanare, made history as she was crowned Miss Universe Colombia 2023 at the finale of the national pageant held on Saturday, 2nd September 2023 at Centro de Eventos del Caribe in Puerta de Oro, Barranquilla.

Camila became the first ever mother and married woman to be crowned Miss Universe Colombia 2023. She is 28 years of age and a model, content creator, and TV host. Camila bested over 20 other delegates to win the national crown.

The newly crowned Miss Universe Colombia 2023 Camila Avella’s court included –

1st Runner-up – Adriana Numa Vega of Norte de Santander

2nd Runner-up – Lina María Hurtado Mosquera of Buenaventura

 

 

Top 8 also included Sophia Isabel Koepke representing Atlántico, Wendy Michelle Murillo representing Cali, Valentina Valderrama Patiño representing Risaralda, Nina María Pinzón Zambrano representing Santander, Valentina Cardona Rincón representing Valle.

Top 15 also included María Paula Torres representing Amazonas, Laura Valentina Parra Giraldo representing Boyacá, Sherren Londoño Perea representing Cundinamarca, Rouse Valentina Cortés Betancourt representing Nariño, Jazmín Eliana Arenas Usma representing Quindío, Marleidys Morales Pérez representing Soledad, Dany Sierra Pastrana representing and Tolima.

Miss Universe Colombia 2022 María Fernanda Aristizábal crowned Camila as her successor at the end of the event finale. Maria represented her country at Miss Universe 2022 and placed in the Top 16.

 

 

Miss Universe 2023, the 72nd edition of Miss Universe, will be held in El Salvador on 18th November 2023 where Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
