Miss France Organization has finally appointed its representative to Miss Universe 2019 and she is none other than the French model and pageant queen Maëva Coucke. The stunning beauty is 24 years of age and stands 176 cm tall.
The decision came after the reigning Miss France Vaimalama Chaves declined to participate in either Miss Universe or Miss World and decided to help prepare the contestants of the next edition rather than succumbing to the pressure. Thus, Maëva was appointed and everyone in the pageantry seems very happy with the decision.
She took to her official social media to reveal her emotions in a post captioned, “Do you hear my cry of joy announcing that I will represent France in the Miss Universe contest? I am happy to represent our country a second time in an international competition, Miss Universe is for me a new challenge, a new challenge that I intend to take up to go as far as possible in this adventure & make you proud! I am a competitor at heart so count on me to give everything, my preparation has already begun and I hope that I will be with me because your support is important to me.”
Raised in Ferques in Pas-de-Calais, Maëva participated in the Elite Model Look contest with her twin sister. She later received her high school diploma with a focus in management in 2013 and went on to receive a BTS in international business in 2015.
Maëva was first elected Miss France in 2018 as she started to pursue an acting career. She represented France at Miss World 2018 and with her outstanding performance, she placed in the Top 12. With all her accomplishments, Maëvawill definitely be a strong competitor at the international platform.
