Hazra Daudo has been confirmed to compete at the national contest this year. A Muslim girl from India having a little mixture of Portuguese and Afghan, Hazra is a teacher by profession. Her passion lies within education and she wants to spread awareness about street children in India, Egypt, Brasil and about barriers to their education.

Hazra is also fundraising for an organization called A-Sisterhood, a UK-based organization that seeks to empower, support and protect women worldwide. The organisation is run out of the UK, but has an international reach. They do not have paid employees but are run by a voluntary team which ensures that all the money goes directly to our chosen projects.

Hello, My name is Hazra and I need your help. I am fundraising for an Organization that supports women”, the website says. Hazra has taught refugee students in Malta and Turkey and that's how her research started for her advocacy.

Coming from a collective culture where girls are consistently said ‘no’, she has morals, values and beliefs which she respects and wants to break the stigma and misconception that anyone has about girls that come from a certain religion or collective culture. After watching what the street children are going through, Hazra thinks they deserve to be respected on a larger stage by raising the importance of it. She will definitely be a strong contender for the national crown.
