Top 10 ‘Dark horse’ delegates of Miss Universe 2022: Noky Simbani representing Great Britain

Miss Universe 2022 has officially begun and the delegates from all over the world are preparing to compete at the 71st Miss Universe. However, there are a few delegates who have shown immense potential even if they have not made it the seasoned hot picks lists for the crown. While not so ‘popular’, these delegates have an immense amount of confidence, perseverance, and dedication to perform well on the finale night and win placements at Miss Universe 2022.

Dark Horse candidates are those candidates about whom little is known but who unexpectedly wins or succeeds. In a series of features, lets know more about the Top 10 ‘Dark horse’ delegates of Miss Universe 2022.

 

 

Noky Simbani, representing Great Britain, has managed to emerge as one of the strongest contestants for Miss Universe 2022. Noky Simbani hails from Zimbabwe. She currently lives in Derby, Derbyshire, East Midlands, England. In 2020, she attended the University of Birmingham in Birmingham, England where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemical engineering.

Not new to the pageantry, Noky is a cross over beauty who has already proven her mettle at an international platform. Noky was adjudged Miss Grand England 2017 and on 25th October 2017, she represented England at Miss Grand International 2017 and competed against 76 other candidates in Vietnam. However, she remained unplaced.

 

 

Noky speaks in panel events alongside senior leaders, raising awareness for the impact of unconscious bias and how it can be combated through inclusive cultures. She also volunteers as a careers ambassador, supporting young people across Great Britain to develop the skills they need to succeed in their future careers. She also visited India where she spent time with women disfigured by acid attack victims in India highlighting the country’s problem with violence. She speaks up, she’s stunning and she knows what it takes to win the Miss Universe crown.

Miss Universe 2022, the 71st Miss Universe pageant, is all set to be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14th January 2023. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
