The Miss Universe Guatemala organization crowned Dannia Guevara Morfin as the highest representative of Guatemalan beauty, Miss Universe Guatemala 2021. The diva was appointed to represent the country at the upcoming Miss Universe 2021pageant.
Hailing from San Marcos, Southwest Guatemala, Dannia is 24 years old and not new to the pageant world, Dannia was crowned Miss Grand Guatemala 2019 as she became the official representative of the country at Miss Grand International 2019. With her stellar performance, she ended up being placed in the Top 21.
When she was given the opportunity to represent Guatemala at Miss Grand International 2019, she spoke how important it was for her to carry the name of her country in her chest and fulfill her commitments. “To achieve my goal I have been preparing in all areas of the Organization hand that gave me absolutely all the tools to be able to travel with dignity, as a representative of Guatemala deserves”, she said.
Dannia is a law student who will obtain a university scholarship to pursue a master's degree in Universidad Galileo. She was designated as Miss Grand Guatemala 2019 under the direction of the new organization chaired by Alex Orellana. Dannia was the first Guatemalan to qualify for Miss Grand International.
Dannia will now be preparing for her international stint at Miss Universe 2021. Miss Universe 2021 will be the 70th Miss Universe pageant, to be held on 12th December 2021 in Eilat, Israel. Andrea Meza of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event.
